First mission of 2011…

…Check. Now on to the second mission.

Mission One: Run the Standard Chartered Full Marathon.

Mission Two: Get married.

Ran the Stan Chart 42.195k full marathon yesterday morning. My first time running a marathon, and it was a great experience. Yes, tiring, and with a weak knee, not the best option to run a marathon. But running a marathon at least once in my life has always been on my to-do list, and what better time to do it than just before I get married, right? And it was great to have done it with my sister and Ion (though we couldn’t really run Together because it was too crowded).

So, I DID IT! And I did it in less than 5 hours. 4h, 56min. Toward the last 3 km, it was quite a mental struggle. I started counting my steps (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8, 2,2,3,4,5,6,7,8..) and did a bit of a run and walk. But it felt real good to cross the finish line!

Today, I am on a 2-day mc cos the doc told me I should rest and not mobilise too much. Can’t walk down the stairs properly and I have bruised toenails. Haha.

With mission one down, I can now start getting excited about our impending wedding in 11 days time. I told Ion that we can now get married in peace. Hahaha!

Can’t wait for Christmas too!

Happy days ahead =D
