Four. Sixteen.

That’s respectively the number of days to the two biggest days of my life (so far).

1. The Standard Chartered Marathon on 4 Dec; and

2. Our wedding day on 17 Dec.

Family and friends have been asking me if I’m excited about the big day. And I say, not yet, ask me after 4 Dec! Can’t wait to get through the marathon. I pray for good weather (not too hot, and not raining). Please, please, please, please. Pretty please?

On a related note, the wonderful feeling of the Christmas season is getting to me. I love seeing the Christmas goodies and decorations (Christmas trees, and all the related deco) going on sale in the shopping malls, supermarkets, and just about everywhere. And I love the Christmas music playing in the background of just about all the shopping malls.

This year just about flew by so fast that I can still vividly remember, what Ion and I were doing in Europe at this exact time last year! Where our whole family (ok, my family) got to be together in the UK, in snowy winter wonderland. And I think, that will be one of my goals for next year – to make every single Christmas so memorable that the Christmas spirit will linger long, long, long after the actual date of Christmas is over. Just like the feelings and memories from Christmas 2010 lasted all the way through to Christmas 2011.

Happy days ahead. I am full of brimming anticipation. =D

29

It’s 17 November today and it’s exactly 1-month (or more specifically, 29 days) to our wedding on 17 December. Lots of anticipation not just for the wedding, but for many things: Looking forward to Nat, Alvin and Ethan returning from the UK, looking forward to another lovely family Christmas and New Year, and then looking forward to our pre-honeymoon in January.

I’ve counted – it’s 17 work days till I go on leave (only taking leave 4 days before the wedding). That’s about 3 work weeks. I’m hanging in there!

All the Christmas festivities everywhere – on the streets, in the supermarkets, in the stores, they are all making me very happy.

Ok, I think that’s all for now.

Wedding

Posted this in Facebook. As of today, it’s 38 days to our wedding!

Sweet November

It’s November! According to my trusty counter, it’s 44 days to our wedding. Time really flies!

44 days to go, and we haven’t even printed our invitation cards yet. We tell ourselves , our guests will realise that the funky cards will be worth the wait! ;p

And 4 weeks till our first marathon. I started the marathon training plan all geared up and ready to go, and then with all the knee aches, arch aches, and increasing difficulty in waking up early in the mornings to run, the training plan has dwindled somewhat. But hopes are still high, and I hope we’ll be able to complete it in a decent time.

Ion’s toilet is done, and thank goodness I don’t have to survive living in a wet toilet (we had a shower screen installed) =D. Can’t wait for the new coat of paint throughout the house (which macho Ion will be doing by himself), and can’t wait to shop for a new sofa!

Exciting month ahead. And the introduction of Coffee Bean’s Christmas drinks as of 1 November have just made my favourite season of year seem all the nearer.

Wee!
