{November 26, 2008}   The peppermint time of year

I look forward to Christmas every year because it gives a feeling of peace, the welcoming of new life, of festivity, and most importantly, christmas screams of peppermint flavoured drinks, and lots of mint chocolates in the supermarket :)

I love peppermint!!

And every year, I wait in anticipation for the Coffee Bean Ice Blended peppermint drinks that are released only once every year, around December. And it gives me such a warm feeling inside when I see the glass case full of Christmas related cakes like stollen, log cakes ( although I don’t like them unless they have peppermint ;p). Where’s my peppermint ice blended? :)

Plus this year, Chistmas will be extra special because the whole family will really be together for the first time in years… Please be warned that there will be lots of photo taking sessions.

Standard Chartered 21k is coming in one and a half weeks time…. UH OH!!! At this point, Ion and I are sure that the adrenaline from running together with so many people will somehow give us extra energy to last us beyond the 15k mark for the last 6k.

I had a fantastic weekend, and a fantastic Monday this week. I’ll always remember this weekend and am looking forward to many many more like it in the coming years.

{November 14, 2008}   Soon to be…

…the last surviving member in my office, as the next one is leaving come February 2009.

It’s been great working together, having fun lunch times together, but it is also great having new people around.

I love the place that I am in.

But maybe that’s because I know there’s always something more to look forward to? :)

On a completely different note,

I like my new sparkly Lee Hwa diamond designed ring. I went to have it re-sized but it is still loose. Better than before though and room for my finger to get 1 mm fatter.

I told him just 1 hour ago that I want a big one diamond ring, and that he should consider himself lucky, because since my fingers are not that big, a 1 – 1.5 carat diamond ring will suffice (too big will not look nice on my finger). To which he said, how much does that cost? “Very cheap, $20k.”

$20k may not be a large amount, but to guys, they probably can’t envision for the life of them why such a small useless item costs so much. Because, because, that small useless item has the power to make its receiver very happy. Remember, happy wife, happy life. Everything is all about perspective. =D

4 Dec coming soon! Wheeee! Hello Nat!

{November 8, 2008}   53rd place…

… out of 434 women who completed the 15k New Balance Real Run race.

Not too bad!

The Standard Chartered half marathon is not looking too positive though, considering I have never run more than 15k in my life, and the run is in less than a month’s time…

Uh oh

1. Regarding things that bug you as just part and parcel of the notion that life is never perfect and we must give and take;

2. Accepting that maybe it is a sign that what you thought is may not really be all it is meant to be; or

3. Realising that the quest for perfection will never come to light?

Won’t the married please stand up? Longer years of marriage (no, wait, longer Happy years of marriage =p) will denote greater credibility =)

{November 6, 2008}   Fat finger

He thought my finger was very fat and bought me the wrong sized ring – we sent it to be re-sized and I want my ring back!!!

I have duly reminded him that I am wearing these rings on my third fingers and my fourth fingers are at least 1.5 to 2 sizes smaller than my third fingers, so he won’t forget when he makes ring purchases later on.
Heh heh.
