{October 30, 2008}   2 year water point

We passed our 2 year water point yesterday, very happy style (and with a big hole in the pocket) :)

I thoroughly enjoyed our spa package, very professional service and one of the best places I’ve been thus far. Such that I need to share it with the ones I love (but details will be shared later).

I forgot to mention that I went shopping before that and it was perfect to shop on a Wednesday afternoon – no crowds, no queues at the changing room, personalised service, and lots of space.

And then we went to Grand Copthorne for buffet dinner – satisfactory, but nowhere near as good as Swissotel Merchant Court. Look, I’m advertising for them for free.

He loved the book I made for him (yes, professionally done and I did it all myself), and I love my new exotically designed ring with pretty diamonds, from my second favourite jewelers. Guess which is my favourite?

I love you! What you giving me for our 3 year anniversary? Coming soon – 364 days time =)

We are going for facial for our 25 monthiversary on 29 Nov.

HOO HOO

{October 19, 2008}   Burn baby burn

I had a rather torturous run this morning at Changi Exhibition Centre – the New Balance Real Run. The heat burned…and since Changi is in the east (where the sun had risen), it was really hot!!!

I always tell myself that when I run, I cannot stop to walk, and normally I seldom stop at the water points to rehydrate myself (because then I’ll need to go to the toilet). But today, it was so hot that I had to stop at All the water points and I had to drink 100plus to replenish fluids. And even then, at the last 4km stretch, I had to stop and walk now and then because the heat was just too bad and my feet were aching (I think my shoes are old and the support has worn out….My feet arches are Really aching now). But even in the blistering, energy draining, horrible heat, I still managed to complete my 15k run in 1h35min :) But if the heat is this bad come 7 Dec, there’s no way I’m gonna be able to finish that half marathon in less than 2.5 hours.

Very tired.

On another note, “Nights in Rodanthe” starring Richard Gere and Diane Lane is a really nice show. Everyone should watch it. I love romantic shows and despite my hard, strong willed exterior, I am a real softie at heart (and I cried through half the show). Yes, it was a tad cliched (as most romantic movies are) but still worth the watch.

I really need to clear my wardrobe but I am oh so tired and so I am going to lounge on the chair.

{October 6, 2008}

I miss him muchly.

I am demanding, needy, irritating, snappy, grumpy, fussy.

But he still loves me.

I love him muchly.

{October 5, 2008}   A kink in the road

We went for the New Balance Real Run training run this morning.

It started off fine, but then around the I dunno how many km mark (maybe it was 10), I tripped on the road (yes on the road) and twisted my foot. So I had the choice of turning back (because it is the kind of route in which you pass the same mark a couple of times – so that means you always have the option of taking the easier road back)… but I persevered. Someone left me behind though. Ok, it wasn’t his fault, he didn’t know that I’d tripped and I asked him to continue running but still. Maybe timing was more important? Well anyway, I completed the 15k run, in 1hr and 35 minutes. The last 5km stretch was the worst, with a tired ankle – I ended up with two tired ankles because I placed more weight on the other one.

Anyhow, it seems to be ok now.

It’s funny how gymnasts are deft on their feet when they are in their events but are so supremely klutzy when jogging on the road.
